In the second stage of the investment programme, carried out in 2015, the production of new types of steel and alloys with higher added value was started, with the production of premium pipes for the manufacturing of hydraulic and telescopic cylinders.
2016 was the year of continuous growth in value- added export volumes to the US market, TMK-ARTROM setting up its own commercial subsidiary in Houston, USA. The company TMK Industrial Solutions is responsible for
selling about 20% of TMK-ARTROM’s output and all the industrial pipes manufactured by TMK in
Russia and the USA. In February 2018 TMK-ARTROM SA (Slatina) officially started the production of a mix of heat treatments for steel pipes.

of an economic recovery
and an acceleration of
the privatisation process, Artrom was taken over by the German company Sinara Handel GmbH (subsequently renamed TMK-Europe). Upon its establishment, Artrom was designed to
a large-scale modernisation plan that is still being implemented today. By the end of 2004, the ASSEL rolling mill had reached
its designed capacity. However, since the second pipe manufacturing line (CPE) was commissioned in 2007, the output capacity of TMK-ARTROM has doubled, reaching over 200,000 tons per year. The production chain was complemented by the purchase of TMK-REȘIȚA as a secure supplier of billet for the plant in Slatina.
