Asked if he has an estimate of the amounts which can be recovered through this amendments of the Insolvency Law, Teodorovici answered:
“We are not talking here only about the Romanian state, as this legal provision does not mainly concern the state sector.
It’s important that the economic environment is correct and fair for all the partners in the economic area. Regarding the debts to the state part, which will be eventually recovered, this provision will bring much more benefits than what we have today”, the minister of Finance has added.
On the criteria which will be used by the state to decide to become a shareholder of a company, Eugen Teodorovici has underlined that “the Romanian state, through ANAF, will have to be very clear, not like until now, unfortunately, when the state structures have allowed this type of situation”, he mentioned.
