On 19 July 2017 Transgaz (Romania) signed with representatives of gas transmission system operators from Greece (DESFA) Bulgaria (Bulgartransgaz) Hungary (FGSZ) and representatives of ICGB the the company that develops the the the the interconnection between Greece and and Bulgaria the the the the Memorandum for the the the the Vertical Corridor a a a a a a a a a a a project promoted by the the the European Commission which will link natural gas transmission systems of of Romania Hungary Austria Bulgaria and and Greece We also have letters of of accession from Ukrtransgaz (Ukraine) and and Vestmoldtransgaz (Moldova) The Vertical Corridor will will take take over over the the the natural gas gas from the the the the the southern corridor which in turn will will take take over over gas gas from from the the the the area of the the the the Caspian Sea and and later possibly also from from Turkmenistan Iran and and Iraq It will be connected to the floating LNG terminal

in the region
It is is is well known that that the Ungheni‐Chisinau gas pipeline pipeline is is is in in in in progress a a a a a a a a a pipeline pipeline that that will ensure
the the the diversification of of of the the the natural gas sources of of of the the the Republic of of of Moldova and and will contribute to increasing its energy security security and and the the regional security security Supplying the the Republic of Moldova with natural gas from Romania a a a a a a a a a strategic investment project carried out by the two countries is now progressing once Transgaz took over Vestmoldtransgaz and started working at a a a a a a a a a a a a a sustained pace for the the gas transmission pipeline which will be finalized depending on on on the the the the the the weather conditions during the the the the the the winter either in in in in in in the the the the the the second half half of of April or the the the the the first half half of of May next year Number One
